Dress for the weather!
- Climbers must wear closed toed shoes (no sandals or Crocs) and clothing must provide adequate coverage/protection for a full-body harness.
- Secure loose hair, clothing or objects carefully to prevent anything from getting caught in the cabling or zip lines. Hair longer than shoulder length must be put into a low and tight hairstyle. We have tubies (A.K.A. gators) for sale at concessions to be worn under your helmet.
Gloves are REQUIRED on the course. You may bring your own or purchase a pair from us during your online booking or the check-in process.
Arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start of your reservation. Failure to do so may result in a delayed start time and reduced time on the course.
Upon arrival please either leave all valuables at home or locked in your vehicle. Koteewi does not provide lockers for personal belongings and is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Phones and cameras are not permitted on the course. Carry at your own risk.
- Candy, gum and other choking hazards are not permitted on the course. Food, snacks, and water are allowed to be brought to the course, but not allowed on the course
During check-in our adventure guide will:
- Verify the age of each climber and that all climbers have a signed liability waiver on file.
- Ensure all climbers are wearing the appropriate footwear, clothing, and gloves.
- Verify each climber meets the participation height, weight, and age requirements.
- Climbers must be able to reach a touch with their hand a minimum of 66” with bother feet flat on the ground and be no taller than 6’6”.
- Climbers must weigh between 40lbs and 275lbs.
- Climbers must be a minimum of 7 years old.
- Course restrictions may apply.
- Outfit each climber with a wristband as verification of check in.
After check-in, our adventure guide will send all climbers to Harnessing and Training where climbers will get outfitted with all necessary safety gear, given an instructional demonstration on how to safely navigate the course, and have their skills verified by a guide prior to accessing the course.
- Harnessing and Training will take approximately 30 minutes of your adventure dependent on group size, climber skill and/or climber attentiveness.
Once a climber’s skills have been verified by a guide, they will be sent to Starting Platform and have the rest of their allotted time to explore the treetop trails of Koteewi.
- If you booked a 2-hour adventure after Harnessing and Training climbers will have approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes on the course, time to explore 2-3 courses. If you booked a 3-hour adventure after Harnessing and Training climbers will have approximately 2 hour and 30 minutes on the course, time to explore 3-5 courses.
- Yellow courses (beginner difficulty) typically take 20-30 minutes to complete.
- Green courses (intermediate difficulty) typically take 30-45 minutes to complete.
- Blue course (hard/expert difficulty) typically takes 45-60 minutes.
- All climbers are required to complete a yellow course (easy-moderate difficulty) prior to moving to more difficult courses. If a guide assesses a climber and does not feel they are ready to explore a specific course, they will be asked to complete a less challenging course prior.
Upon expiration of you reservation time all climbers in your party will be sent back to Harnessing and Training to remove all gear and head home. Please ensure to gather all your belongings, remove any trash you may have brought in, and leave the course and trails better than you found it.
